Wambaw Creek

Wambaw Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Wambaw Creek presents backwoods paddling at its finest. Eleven miles of this creek flow through the 1,640-acre Wambaw Creek Wilderness. The federally designated wild area is encased within the Francis Marion National Forest, making for a wildon-wild setting. Still Landing, located on a piney bluff above Wambaw Creek, is your starting point.

You will first paddle upstream, going against a light current. By the way, currents here are affected by tides to a degree, as well as recent rainfall."
