Lower Pacolet River

Lower Pacolet River Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Any float where you can rack up two rivers on one trip is a good float. On this one you do—starting with the Pacolet River and the ending your trip on the Broad River. The Pacolet River is a tributary of the Broad.

You will start at the eerily named Skull Shoals Bridge. Here, a boat ramp leads to the Pacolet just downstream of a rock said to have the face of a skull in it. You can actually paddle upstream to see this before undertaking your downstream float."
