Huger Creek/Quinby Creek

Huger Creek/Quinby Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a gorgeous trip on two different tidally affected freshwater streams. Leave from a landing that is part of the Francis Marion National Forest and includes a fine picnic area with a shelter (in addition to the boat ramp). There is also a small, accessible fishing deck at the landing. Here, Huger Creek is flowing out of the Francis Marion National Forest.

You join this alluring blackwater stream southbound through rich waterside forest. It is not long before the forest gives way to open, lower banks interspersed with trees. This is plantation country, so you travel along old rice dikes as the creek widens. Pass Gough Creek."
