Saluda River near Greenville Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a perfect weekend paddle in the suburban environs of Greenville. For starters, the takeout and put-in are easily accessed, eliminating long drives and long shuttles.

This section of the Saluda River gets pushed out below the Saluda Lake Dam and spills southward in a relatively narrow corridor interspersed with fun, easy-to-read rapids. The waterway exhibits mountain characteristics with its shoals, rocks aplenty, and hilly shores full of evergreens."
