On the Bike/Hike Trail, you’ll explore a range of habitats as you parallel the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and loop around on a dike system. The impounded waters provide a valuable food source for wildlife and a haven for waterfowl. You can find nearly every species of Atlantic shorebird here. Also keep your eyes peeled for foxes, deer, bobcats, and feral hogs. I saw two alligators on my October ride. Tread: Old roadbed and dike.
