Dalton Road, a well-maintained, closed forest road that consists of gravel, clay, and sand, is linked with several stretches of singletrack to create this 5-mile loop. You will travel half of Dalton Road at the beginning of your ride and the other half in the middle. The two steep downhill sections of singletrack—Technical Trail and Wounded Knee Trail—are sure to knock a screw loose. This ride, which starts at Indian Springs Recreation Area, also travels through several other recreation areas at Issaqueena Lake: Wild Cat Creek and Willow Springs. Many local riders add Dalton Road to the Issaqueena Lake Trail for the ultimate workout. See the map for several possible connections. Tread: 1.9 miles on singletrack, 2.3 miles on old roadbed, and .8 mile on gravel road.
