Congaree Creek

Congaree Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A paddling trip down Congaree Creek instantaneously transitions you from suburban Columbia to the back of beyond when your boat slips away from Charleston Highway. Congaree Creek is a tributary of Congaree River, but the two Columbiaarea waterways share little else besides a name.

Congaree Creek is a swift, narrow, dark, shady swamp stream, versus the massive, open Congaree River. It isn’t long before you enter the boundaries of the Congaree Creek Heritage Preserve, a statedesignated wild sanctuary."
