Savannah River

Savannah River Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Have you ever wanted to paddle a really big river? Here’s your chance. Don’t let the distance of this day paddle scare you, as the Savannah is quite swift and will immensely aid your downstream progress under normal conditions.

The Savannah River drains over 10,000 square miles, and much of this waterway is still wild, despite being dammed upstream of Augusta. Starting at Stony Bluff Landing, this paddle travels the boundary between Georgia and South Carolina past thickly wooded shores that are remote and wild."
