Traveling the entire trail is 18.5 miles with a total elevation gain of 2,983 feet. The Hansen Mine (elevation 3,806 feet) quarry can be seen along the trail. This trail connects with the following: Flat Top Road, Overlook Road, Miner's Way, Miner's Ridge Road, Miner's Link, Miner's Spring, Hansen Saddle, Howland Mine Road, Taylor Camp Road and Freeland Pass Road.
