Paddle through historic Wickford Harbor and explore interesting islands and coves. Wickford is a small fishing village within the town of North Kingstown on the western shore of Narragansett Bay—and it was the inspiration for the setting in John Updike’s novel The Witches of Eastwick. It's harbor has a quintessentially New England feel. You’ll have plenty of company on this trip from sailors, commercial and recreational fishing boats, and other kayakers. The harbor is a no-wake zone, so boats won’t be traveling fast, but you’ll need to be aware of boat traffic at all times.
