A varied ride that includes part of the North-South Trail. At 2,359 acres, Carolina isn’t Rhode Island’s biggest management area, but it offers an interesting variety of terrain and stretches to the banks of the Pawcatuck River. Evergreen and deciduous forest and large open fields cover most of the area. Rabbits, squirrels, foxes, white-tailed deer, coyotes, muskrats, and mink live here along with bobwhites, pheasants, and a few wild turkeys.
