Highpoint rank by height: 46th. As noted under "Access Considerations," the owners of the private property leading toward the actual high point have not given permission for people to cross their land, except on certain specified dates. Because of this, we have chosen not to describe the exact location of the high point in more detail here. Representatives of the Highpointers Club have worked out an agreement with the access owners to allow visitors on a few specific dates. Volunteers from the club are on hand to coordinate traffic and parking, and to direct people to the actual highpoint on those dates. The club has placed a sign at the site explaining the private property issues. If you visit the site any time other than the dates designated by the owners, please respect the owners' rights by "completing" this highpoint by visiting the public spot described below.

This trail guide is out of date as of August 2007. The folks that own the land between the road (101) and the highpoint (owned by Brown University) have changed and allowed the Highpointers Club to clear a trail to the summit. The Highpointers Club also made a sandy parking lot across the road from the trailhead that will accommodate about half a dozen cars (which would be a crowd for this highpoint). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is a sign at the trailhead, which sits only a few feet away from a gated drive to the owner's home. The hours for the trail are 8am to 4pm every day. Please respect these hours and the property, as this trail is on private property and the owners are willing to accommodate highpointers. We don't want to do anything to spoil their good will. ---------------------------------------- Probably the best and most complete information on this highpoint can be found on SummitPost: (http://www.summitpost.org/mountain/rock/152342/jerimoth-hill.html) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As for my visit, everything was covered in fairly fresh snow about 6in deep and it was bright and sunny out. It's a very nice trail and cleared area at the highpoint, albeit very short. Nice forest, not a lot to the place, but its very nice for what it is.
