Only a short portion of this trip takes you into the woods, but there is no shortage of natural beauty and breathtaking scenery. The roads in Little Compton, a charming and quiet summer resort town surrounded by water on three sides, roll through miles of farmland and offer frequent ocean views. This trip starts at Little Compton’s center, known as the Commons, where there’s a general store perfect for stocking up on water and snacks. Parking is available in a lot on the south side of the general store. Most beaches in Little Compton are private, but this ride takes you out to the Town Beach at South Shore Beach near the banks of Tunipus Pond, which provides gorgeous views out to Cuttyhunk and the Elizabeth Islands.
