Lincoln Wood State Park Professional Review and Guide
"The town of Lincoln, 3.5 miles north of Providence, just off Rhode Island 146. Although the area is relatively flat, the trails roll up and down, and the riding is sometimes made challenging by loose terrain. Watch out for motorists on the paved road through the park; it's used as a through road. Because the park is close to several cities, it attracts many visitors; slow down on the hills and be considerate of hikers and horseback riders."
--Paul Angiolillo, Mountain Biking Southern New England (Falcon Guides).
The "Woods", as i call it, is one of the best places to get muddy. They've got steeps, flats, stream crossing, jumps, etc. It's a MTBer's dream! Also there's much more then the measly 2.5 miles noted above. Go there to get worked.
This is one of my favorite places to ride. The conditions are great all year. There are trails for all abilities. You can ride on easy wide trails or on steep single track. Also, this is one of the best places for trials riding in the area.
There is a sweet free ride course which makes it well worth your time. Just don't forget to download the digital eTrail thing...pretty cool.
