Hills of Southwestern Rhode Island to Narragansett Bay Professional Review and Guide
"I’ll confess that I wondered if I’d find the country roads in Rhode Island that offered the autumn views and activities we discovered in the other states. On my fifth weekend of searching, I found what I was looking for in the southwest corner of the state. Here were vistas that were nothing short of spectacular, uncommon wildlife, cascading waterfalls and historic buildings that spoke of old New England. And because the state is so small, one can leave the explosion of foliage in the hills and explore the more subtle colors of the coast in a short drive.
This eTrail is a scenic drive with detailed information on the New England towns of West Greenwich, Exeter, Rockville, Hope Valley & Kingston, Richmond, North Kingstown, and Wickford. Highlights: Rattlesnake Ledge, Stepping Stone Falls, Old Mill, hiking, Ell Pond, antiques, small farms, sweeping views, ospreys, Great Swamp, horseback riding, Historic Wickford, Silas Casey Farm, Gilbert Stuart House and Mill, Smith’s Castle, coastal drive and more."
