Rocky Ridge Professional Review and Guide
"Rocky Ridge is a great place to get out and tear around on some technical trail, especially if you’re in the York area. With the likes of Subway and Taco Bell almost within smelling distance, the riding here is almost too good to be true. The park’s name reflects the abundance of moderate technical riding. The trails here are well marked. The ride begins on the ridge at one of the highest points in the park and leads out to a beautiful vista looking north over the Susquehanna Valley. A gnarly, rocky, technical descent follows as the trail loses some elevation off the north face and runs the rocky valley below. A killer hill climb with burly rocks and soft soil brings you back to the top of the ridge. Take advantage of the second vista, this time looking south, out over the York Valley. Head back into the woods to a stream crossing and begin a rugged lower loop on the southwest face of the ridge.
Highlights: multiple stream crossings, two incredible vistas, park amenities including restrooms, water, picnic pavilions, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, and a fitness trail, camping nearby at Otter Creek and Pequea Campgrounds."
