Leonard Harrison State Park

Leonard Harrison State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Leonard Harrison State Park is deceptive. It’s located on the east rim of what’s known as Pennsylvania’s Grand Canyon. Visitors who take in the view from its overlook are treated to unbroken green forests stretching to the horizon in each direction. Yet Leonard Harrison is just 585 acres.

What’s all the rest of those woods? Colton Point State Park sits on the west rim. But at just 368 acres, it’s smaller still and less developed. The majority of what you see is the Tioga and Tiadaghton State Forests. They encompass more than 300,000 acres. That’s a lot of country, no matter how you label it."
