Hills Creek State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The campground is a series of connected loops. The sites with the highest numbers, from 84 on up, offer the most privacy. Hills Creek is a 407-acre park surrounded by about 13,000 acres of state land. There’s plenty to do within the park itself though. The 137-acre lake is a nice draw. There’s a beach for swimming and a snack bar and concession that are popular with families.
The waters are especially popular with anglers and boaters. Only electric motors are permitted, so easing around the shoreline on misty mornings is quiet, peaceful, and fun. There are fish to
be caught. The Lake Side Trail, a 3-mile path that begins near the campground, also offers good opportunities to see beavers, as well as lots of birds."
