Little Pine State Park

Little Pine State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Most of the facilities in this park were wiped out in 1972 when Hurricane Agnes roared through, sending water over the lake’s dam for the first time. Today Little Pine State Park offers some good opportunities for the angler, with wild and stocked trout available in Little Pine Creek and smallmouth bass and other warmwater species available in the park’s 94-acre lake. There’s also an observation deck for viewing the bald eagles that have nested here for a decade.

A real highlight of the park is its hiking opportunities. Level trails with lots of wildflowers and wildlife are perfect for families with children. Rugged walks like the Panther Hollow Trail lead to scenic vistas, rock outcroppings, and solitude. If you’ve got kids, be sure to follow Lake Shore Trail and spend time exploring the lake’s upper end."
