Hooks Brook Boat Access Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This campground has the benefit of being fairly secluded, without good foot access, so it’s lightly used and popular with those who like solitude. A lot of wildlife calls Allegheny National Forest home—black bears, white-tailed deer, bobcats, coyotes, squirrels, raccoons, birds of all manner and variety—and sometimes being in a boat increases your chances of spotting it.
Senior and Access passes, available through any of the forest offices, entitle visitors to a 50 percent discount on these and other campsites."
