Ohiopyle State Park

Ohiopyle State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a large campground, with lots of sites adjacent to trails. The walk-in sites near the Great Gorge Trail are nice. This park has so many things going for it it’s hard to decide what to do first. Many know Ohiopyle first and foremost for its whitewater rafting.

If riding the river is not your thing, the park has almost 80 miles of hiking trails. Some lead past waterfalls; others wind around Ferncliff Peninsula, site of an amusement park decades ago
and today home to rare plants and fossils. You can fish for trout in the river or in one of its many tributary streams, or bike 27 miles of the wonderfully scenic Great Allegheny Passage."
