Trexlertown Professional Review and Guide
"This is a scenic, low-traffic, out-and-back ride that will give you an opportunity to ride in a way you've probably never experienced before. You'll also have an opportunity to see food produced in a very unusual way. Trexlertown is just south of Allentown. It is the home of the Lehigh County Velodrome, one of just a few bike-racing tracks in the United States. On Tuesday and Friday nights throughout the summer, riders from beginners to world champions race around the concrete oval. Track racing is not at all like road racing. The bikes have only one gear and no brakes. The riders spend much of their time jockeying for position. Then they sprint madly to the finish. The margin of victory is often less than a wheel. The road surface is good."
