Tobyhanna State Park has a large, beautiful lake that is known regionally for its excellent fishing. Although none of the 140 sites in the campground at Tobyhanna State Park are designated for tent camping only, this park is a really nice place to go and pitch a tent. The campground is fairly large, and it is often not even half full. The park staff are the friendliest people you’d want to meet. And the place is just really nice to get away to for a little peace and quiet and solitude.
