Tionesta Lake Outflow Recreation Area Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"While this campground on the northern side of Tionesta Lake can handle RVs, some of its sites are more suited to tents, as the camping spurs are not well defined. Alcohol is prohibited. If you come here in late fall or winter—to hunt, get in some ice fishing, or ski or snowshoe—there’s no cost. Of course there are no amenities either.
This campground is a good option if you are looking for a little more quiet. Its lack of facilities relative to some other nearby campgrounds means it draws smaller crowds of primarily tent campers. It’s also especially nice if you plan to visit in the fall. The opportunity to hike, bike, or hunt in these woods when they’re ablaze in oranges, reds, and yellows is very special."
