The Juniata River is the major waterway through south-central Pennsylvania. This ride takes you for a scenic, low-traffic ride through the Juniata River Valley, on both sides of the river. By Pennsylvania standards, it's flat. Juniata County is lightly populated, because most of the area is quiet mountainous. On this ride you'll have steep hillsides looming around you, but you won't have to climb any of them. The road surface is good.

Not sure how to rate this. My first "Drive somewhere bike trip"... But it is supposed to be 2.5 hours and I believe my son and I would have been traveling at least 10 miles/hour, but about 2.2 hours into the loop we were not quite half way so we recrossed the river at Port Royal and it still took almost 5 hours. Route 333 is definitely nice. Hardly any cars and some interesting scenery.
