"This pretty hike follows the Lebanon Valley Rail-Trail from the trailhead at Lawn to the trailhead at Colebrook. Along the way it passes a couple of horse farms, the Horse-Shoe Trail, and an attractive section of woodlands." Read more
"This hike follows the Lebanon Valley Rail-Trail (LVRT) 3.8 miles from the trailhead in Mount Gretna to the town of Cornwall. Along the way, it passes environs that are ideal for viewing wildlife. Just before reaching Cornwall, the trail crosses a scenic old railroad bridge. This hike follows the LVRT for 3.8 miles from the Mount Gretna Spur to the village of Cornwall. The rail-trail currently extends for 15 miles from the Lebanon–Lancaster County line 6.4 miles to the west of Mount Gretna to the city of Lebanon. At the western terminus, the trail becomes the Conewago Trail and continues for another 5 miles into Elizabethtown. You can begin this hike in either Mount Gretna or Cornwall. I usually go from Mount Gretna simply because it is closer to where I live. I suspect that on a summer weekend, though, parking might be easier to find in Cornwall than in Mount Gretna, which gets rather crowded." Read more
