Located on the northern edge of the Rothrock State Forest, the route covers some of the finest trail in the forest, which holds many secrets of its own. Legend has it that the Delaware Indian tribe built stone steps on the north face of Tussey Mountain to cross over this long ridge from Stone Creek to Spruce Creek. Appropriately named “Indian Steps,” this unique trail can be found west of Pennsylvania Highway 26 on the state forest road named Kepler Road. Highlights: Little Flat Fire Tower and views, the hidden three bridges, Central Pennsylvania's best singletrack descent, great wildlife viewing, close to Happy Valley (home of the Nittany Lions). Tread: forest roads, way-technical rocky singletrack, slippery footbridges, and old woods road.

Quite a climb and steep descent! Has some fun rock gardens and bridges early on. The loop at the top is overgrown and not worth riding! Skip it!
