This is a great hike for kids who enjoy splashing around in the creek below the small, scenic Jones Mill Dam and climbing the rocks at its side. To reach the trailhead of the Pump House Trail, walk to the back of the parking area and around the wooden gate. The portion of the hike on the Pump House Trail is along this wide gravel path, obviously a former road. Its flat, wide surface makes it ideal for families with members of all ages to hike together.
