Blue Marsh Lake, an oasis tucked away in the Reading area, was constructed by the Army Corps of Engineers in the late 1970s. The massive lake is open for boating and swimming and is great place to end the ride on a warm summer day. The trail is a multi-use trail, which means that you will be sharing it with hikers and equestrians as well. As IMBA rules state, cyclists must yield to both of these groups. The singletrack sections contain many blind turns, so please keep your speed in check, mainly because the trail is often ridden in both directions.
