Shenango River Lake Recreation Area Professional Review and Guide
"It allows unlimited horsepower boating. That makes it very popular for waterskiing, tubing and fishing. For a different experience, though, take your canoe or kayak and explore some of the lake’s more remote areas. You can also go upstream and float the Shenango River. A water trail has been developed from Pymatuning State Park to Greenville on the Pennsylvania side; plans are to extend it down to this recreation area next. Now that some of the fallen timber and brush has been removed this is a nice, relaxing Class I float suitable for paddlers. Another thing that makes this park unique is the presence of the Bayview Off-Road Vehicle Area for all-terrain vehicles. It’s open from late May through the end of September. There are some rules to follow: there’s no riding by anyone younger than eight, and those eight to fifteen must pass a safety education course. But meet those standards and this is a good place to ride."
