This is a relatively moderate hike, although there is one section of steep hills—and you get to pass through at least a portion of it twice. Along the way, though, you’ll cross a small stream and later follow its winding path; pass by a cove on 451-acre Shawnee Lake where you’re likely to see fish, turtles, and ducks; and perhaps see deer, turkeys, and squirrels.
