Kettle Creek State Park Professional Review and Guide
"This remote, nearly 1,800-acre park lies in a valley surrounded by mountainous wilderness. It’s gorgeous, as the drive in showcases immediately. The view of Kettle Creek, flowing at the base of steep-sided mountains, will take your breath away, especially when spring first turns things green and fall changes the leaves to orange, red, and yellow.
The park is also a great place to see wildlife, some of it the kind that you won’t find in too many places in Pennsylvania. This part of the state is home to as many black bears as anywhere in the state, along with white-tailed deer, turkeys, otters, fishers, and elk. There are 22 miles of horseback riding trails in the forest surrounding this park."
