Roaring Run Natural Area

Roaring Run Natural Area Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Roaring Run is a beautiful mountain stream that’s been designated as having “exceptional value” by the state. It’s a wilderness trout stream, too. But you’ll find all of that out if you do this hike, since you’ll spend almost as much time in the water as a fish. A significant portion of the walk follows Roaring Run down a deep valley, walled in on both sides by significant slopes, so you will cross the stream many, many times.

This area is open to hunting. Significant snowfall can make this hike very challenging."
