Riverview Park

Riverview Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Riverview Park, located just north of Pittsburgh’s downtown, was once an amusement park of sorts. Today its merry-go-round is long gone. If you enjoy walking through the woods and are intrigued by the opportunity to enjoy nature and wildlife surprisingly close to the heart of one the state’s biggest cities, though, this might be the hike for you.

White-tailed deer, squirrels, turkeys, red-tailed hawks, coyotes, rabbits, groundhogs, and a whole host of birds live in this park, which has reverted to woodlands. If there is one thing the park is missing, it’s people—Riverview gets less human visitors than most of the other city parks."
