This hike includes both woodlands and meadows and connects many unmarked trails. As a result, the hiker passes through a variety of habitats and also sees some of the park’s amenities. If you wish, stop at the administration building for park information; it is located on Old Frankstown Road about 0.3 miles after the turn. The Nature Center (left turn just before the administration building) features a number of displays, hosts nature programs, and offers guided tours and interpretive walks for all ages; it also has a greenhouse in which horticulture programs are conducted.
