Philadelphia Professional Review and Guide
"As the biggest city in the state and the "birthplace of liberty," Philadelphia offers many interesting attractions. It also has plenty of traffic; so much in face, that radio stations give traffic reports at midnight. Thus, this is more of a guide than a strictly planned ride. The best time to ride in Philadelphia is on a Sunday morning; next best is a Sunday afternoon. Fairmount Park is a great place to ride. It's green- you'll find raspberries and mulberries growing wild-and there are a lot of ducks and geese living here. If you stand on Kelly Drive and look across the river, you can almost imagine that you're in a wilderness. Trees and water are just about all that you can see. The road surface is good."

I coupled this with Forbidden Drive Trail and eliminated the center city part. This is always a nice ride. On the weekends, the city closes down east and west river drive to traffic which makes a very nice bicycling situation.
The trail was great. I needed to go a long distance and this helped me find a ride.
