Prince Gallitzin State Park Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Pets are permitted in the Red Oak and Beech loops. ADA-accessible sites are scattered throughout this large campground.
At 1,635 acres the lake’s a tad smaller than planned, but it’s a real draw for sportsmen. It offers excellent fishing for bass, northern pike, crappies, yellow perch, and even bowfin—a prehistoric species found in only a handful of waters within the state. Boaters love the lake too.
Away from the water there are more than 50 miles of trails for hiking and/or biking. The 2.2-mile Campground Trail follows the lakeshore and has benches scattered along the way so that you
can stop, relax, and take in views of the lake."
