Youghiogheny River Trail Ramble Professional Review and Guide
"This ride is the southern section of a multi-purpose trail for cyclists, hikers, and cross-country skiers that, when completed, will be 60 to 70 miles long between Meyersdale and Pittsburgh.
Located entirely within Ohiopyle State Park, this 8-12-foot-wide, hard-surfaced path of fine gravel runs through the scenic, forested gorge of the Youghiogheny River on the old Western Maryland Railway bed. The nearly level out-and-back course from Ohiopyle to Confluence is highlighted by magnificent river views, cascading feeder streams, and maturing forests. Terrain: flat. No traffic unless you ride into Confluence."
