Detailed Trail Descriptions from Our Guidebooks

"Ohiopyle State Park sees a lot of traffic, especially in the warmer months. Spend time in the vicinity of the Youghiogheny (Yough) River and, with all of the hikers, bikers, rafters, and picnickers, it can be tough to find a place to park. This hike, though, winds through some of the lesser-visited sections of Ohiopyle, where you can still find some solitude, see some wildlife, and enjoy some spectacular scenery. Located in the mountains of the Laurel Highlands, this area can get significant snowfall in winter. This portion of the park is also open to hunting." Read more
