The Cornwall area is rich in history, and this ride is near the hills that were once run by prospect miners. Just a few miles north of the trailhead is the Cornwall Iron Furnace Historic Site where the local iron ore was mined. An impressive furnace structure and a huge, water-filled strip mine pit still remain. Highlights: singletrack riding on the Horseshoe Trail, mellow woods road riding through forest and field, many wildlife viewing opportunities, the historic Cornwall Fire Tower. Tread: the ride runs on a bit of paved and mostly gated dirt woods roads with a sweet, rocky singletrack finish.

Excellent ride. Note: Last two miles or so was very difficult riding with downed trees and thick brush.
