Dingmans Falls

Dingmans Falls Professional Review and Guide

"Dingmans Falls is one of the top three waterfalls in Pennsylvania. This hike takes you to the falls and then through a hemlock forest alongside a pristine stream to three more waterfalls and the ruins of a once-thriving mill.

This hike is located within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, a 70,000-acre watershed that stretches for 40 miles on both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey sides of the Delaware River. The trail begins on a wooden walkway that takes you to the foot of Silver Thread Falls, where water from a tributary to Dingmans Creek drops 80 feet through a narrow shale crevasse, cascading over a series of ledges."
