Ridley Creek State Park

Ridley Creek State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The park is sprawling, at nearly 3,000 acres, and it has something for everyone, from hiking and biking to fishing and horseback riding. Hunting Hill Mansion, in the main part of the park, is also a popular place for weddings. The mansion was actually built around an old stone farmhouse that was built in 1789. The park office is also located in the mansion.

Although this park is a busy one, the Orange Trail is a bit less populated than the other trails. The main part of the park has some paved trails that are stroller and wheelchair friendly, but this hike is on a dirt-and-rock path."

My husband and I often hike Ridley Creek State Park. You can hike up to 12 miles of trails but also can take shorter loops. It has some nice rolling hills for a workout. It's hard to believe when you are in the park that you are only 12 miles from Philadelphia. A true gem
