Beaver Meadows Professional Review and Guide
"This is a fast ride with mixed terrain and minimal elevation gain. Beaver Meadows Recreation Area is an awesome base camp from which to explore any of the rides in this region. Its proximity to town is even more enticing for those whose campsite culinary skills are less than adequate—or if a run for that extra six-pack is needed. As its name implies, the Beaver Meadows Recreation Area is home to many beaver. They can be seen along Salmon Creek and in some of the feeder streams to the lake, working on their dams. There are many opportunities for wildlife viewing. The area has loads of hiking trails for those who wish to explore the area on foot. Highlights: beaver ponds, waterfowl lakes, swamp crossing, primitive campground, secret blueberry patch, close to town. Tread: a few miles of beautiful singletrack leads to an ATV trail. Doubletrack and snowmobile trail mix in and out for the next few miles, turning to hardpack dirt and gravel roads to finish out the ride."
