This ride offers excellent technical riding on both singletracks and doubletrack trails. The singletrack section, along Walnut Run, is just beautiful. Both bike and rider can take a hammering on this one. The climb up to the Horseshoe Trail will test both your lungs and your legs. The downhill section on the Horseshoe Trail will test the skill of the best downhill riders. This is a short ride, but to make it longer, hook-up with the many different trails in the area that start from he Pumping Station parking area. a short section of this ride is on Camp Mack property, so obtain a free permit from the Boy scouts of Lancaster before departing. Also, mountain biking is not allowed on Camp Mack lands from June through August.
