Mount Gretna / Mount Hope Professional Review and Guide
"Here's a short ride with a lot of interesting sights along the way. Mount Hope, the former mansion of a wealthy, Early American ironmine owner, is now a winery, and the grounds are a vineyard. Many different events take place on the grounds. On weekends from July through September, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire re-creates the splendor of sixteenth-century England. Hundreds of colorfully attired performers joust, juggle, and jest. There are also a Fifties Revival and a Dickens Christmas, in addition to wine making. On Camp Road you'll see Hampshire Orchards. This is an unusual orchard in that it's basically new. The road surface is good."
