This is a ride through lush Amish farmland, over lightly traveled roads. The little town of Intercourse is a curious melting pot. On Main Street you'll see Amish farmers buying supplies while visitors from all over the world buy souvenirs. You'll find horses and buggies tied up beside Cadillacs. The primary tourist attraction in Intercourse is the People's place, a group of shops featuring local Amish and Mennonite crafts. There's also a slide show that explains Amish life. Bikers passing through town often stop at Zimmerman's General Store for cold drinks. The road surface is fair; be wary of ruts worn by horses.

Did this ride on a Saturday. Due to high tourist activity, it was hard to get onto 340 to start the ride; but once off that road the ride was great! several rolling hills and a couple slightly tougher ones (we're beginners); Amish roadside stands and buggies; lots of corn and livestock. Generally, a gorgeous ride thru Amish countryside.
