Honesdale Professional Review and Guide
"Honesdale is a pretty little town in the Pocono Mountains of Wayne County. It lies in a basin, surrounded by all sides by fairly steep hills, and, although it's the biggest town in the country, it's definitely a small town. The village, green, across from the courthouse, is a pleasant place to sit and relax after your ride.
If you travel around Pennsylvania, you'll observe that, to a considerable extent, Wayne County reverses traditional land-use patterns. In many places farms are in the valleys, whereas the higher areas remain unpopulated. In Wayne County, however, many farms are on tops of hills, and the lowlands are home to the area's towns. The road surface is fair."
