This is an awesome woodland mountaintop ride that is perfect for the adventurous novice. The scenic beauty and multiple backcountry vistas alone are truly worth the trip, so don’t forget the camera. The ride traces sections of the historical logging rail grades that lace the surrounding mountains. Highlights: historic old tram and logging railroad grades, spectacular scenery, remote woodland feeling, Pump Station Fire Tower, grand vistas. Tread: wide, grassy woods roads, hardpacked historic rail grade, fern-covered singletrack, and a short stint on paved road.
