Fall Run Falls

Fall Run Falls Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Nestled in the heart of urban Pittsburgh, Fall Run provides a surprisingly scenic waterfall hike. Most Steel City residents are completely unaware of 95-acre Fall Run Park, tucked away amid neighborhoods in Shaler Township.

Start at the upper end of the park’s developed facilities then work your way up the creek, crisscrossing the stream and passing warm-up cascades. The hike culminates in a shocking nearly 30-foot spiller—the largest cataract in the greater Pittsburgh area. Turn around at the upper end of the preserve, backtracking to enjoy the cascades of Fall Run one more time."
