Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"It seems almost unfair, really. The Staple Bend Tunnel is about 901 feet long: That’s three football fields laid end to end, plus another 12 inches. It has no lights. Sun enters from each side, but to be in the middle is to be in some serious darkness.
What it does have is water. Droplets fall from the ceiling like rain, and while it’s not uncommon, to get splashed by one is always a small, if sudden and chilly, surprise. Yet, despite all that, to walk the tunnel end to end takes a matter of minutes."
